Avon extended the longest winning streak in Great Plains (9 Man) this week by beating Canistota, 44-24. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Colome took down Lower Brule 66-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Cowboys' Terrance Kinzer and Lane Fawcett have proven to be a lethal combination. Kinzer has thrown for 323 yards this season, while Fawcett, a 6-foot-7 receiver, has 8 catches for 159 yards. Turner Serr from South Central co-op [Bonesteel-Fairfax/Burke] leads the league in rushing with 575 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Avon takes on Gayville-Volin. Tom Culver's team is in first place, while the Raiders are in sixth place.
