The Gregori Jaguars lost against the El Capitan Gauchos back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Gregori fell to El Capitan 50-44.
Gregori's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jayson Powers, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds. Powers scored a full 38.6% of Gregori's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Raj Sandhu, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
Gregori now has a losing record at 3-4. As for El Capitan, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Gregori is on the road again on Thursday and play against Ripon Christian at 3:30 p.m. on December 7th. As for El Capitan, they will take on Immanuel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Immanuel presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than El Capitan in California (Immanuel is ranked 142nd, while El Capitan is ranked 514th).
