In what's become a running theme this season, Fieldston gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 71-46 margin over Hackley. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fieldston.
Fieldston relied on the efforts of Sarah Weinick, who scored 23 points, and Jade ling Eng-stewart, who scored 28 points. Another player making a difference was Eliza Schlachter, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Rye Country Day couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holy Child. The match was a 17-17 toss-up at halftime, but Rye Country Day couldn't quite close it out.
Fieldston's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Rye Country Day, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
