The Biloxi Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Harrison Central on Tuesday as Biloxi made off with a 47-26 victory. Winning may never get old, but Biloxi sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Biloxi found their leader in underclassman Zaniya Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Johnson has scored at least 25% of Biloxi's points. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Davison, who scored 11 points.
Biloxi pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Harrison Central, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Biloxi will face off against Ocean Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ocean Springs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Biloxi is ranked 18th). As for Harrison Central, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Martin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Martin's defense has only allowed 28.5 points per game this season, so Harrison Central's offense will have their work cut out for Harrison Central.
