Bishop McGuinness won the last time they faced Kingfisher and things went their way on Monday too. Bishop McGuinness was the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over Kingfisher. The Fighting Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Damon Cochran II made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

In other batting news, Spencer Bass was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Kaleb Anderson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.

Bishop McGuinness kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kingfisher only managed six hits.

Bishop McGuinness is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. Kingfisher is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bishop McGuinness beat Kingfisher by a score of 11-1 on Tuesday.
