This season hasn't been kind to the St. Joseph D Defenders, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They were dealt a 91-29 defeat at the hands of Faith Christian Academy on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Joseph D has scored all season.
Faith Christian Academy was led to victory by Max McMillen and William Allen. McMillen scored 12 points along with five assists and two steals, while Allen scored 18 points along with two blocks. It was the first time this season that Allen scored 15 or more points. John Schleeter was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven assists and two steals.
St. Joseph D's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Faith Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph D will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Nighthawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
