The Wilson Tigers stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Hartsville as Wilson made off with a 68-45 victory. The win was nothing new for Wilson as they're now sitting on eight straight.
It was another big night for Tristan Thompson, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Leonard, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Wilson's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Hartsville, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilson will take on North Myrtle Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hartsville, they will stay at home for another game and welcome South Florence at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. South Florence presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hartsville in South Carolina (South Florence is ranked 36th, while Hartsville is ranked 162nd).
