Mineral Ridge (Ohio) captured the lead on a
Devine Redding touchdown run with 1:00 remaining in the fourth quarter to upset
United (Hanoverton, Ohio) 47-41 on Saturday.
After trailing 21-19 at the half, the Golden Eagles went ahead on a rushing touchdown with 5:00 remaining in the third.
Redding was the top performer for Mineral Ridge. He ran for five touchdowns. He has now scored 19 touchdowns on the season.
MR got revenge for last year's 40-21 loss to United with the victory.
The loss comes after United defeated Jackson-Milton 56-21 last week. With the win the Rams extended their winning streak to three games. The loss snapped UHS's 2-game winning streak.
