Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kameron Jones and Tyshaun Dunlap Lead Easton Area to Victory

There's no place like home for Easton Area, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They managed a 53-49 victory over the Northeast Vikings on Friday.

Leading Easton Area to victory were Tyshaun Dunlap and Kameron Jones. Dunlap posted 15 points, while Jones earned 15 points. The contest was Dunlap's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jasir Frutchey, who had seven points.

Northeast's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bobby Perry, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 14 points. Perry has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jonathan Miller was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Easton Area pushed their record up to 4-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-6.

Easton Area wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 47-36 loss against Phillipsburg on the 28th. Northeast has also already played their next game, a 75-49 defeat against Abington on the 28th.
