Ellington came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They didn't even let the Griswold Wolverines on the board, marking their second-straight 10-0 shutout. Considering the Knights have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Ellington's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Griswold, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Ellington will look to defend their home field on Saturday against St. Joseph at 12:00 p.m. Griswold does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
