There's no place like home for Iola, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Somerville Yeguas by a score of 77-67 on Friday. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Iola to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler EllioTT, who went 10 for 21 on his way to 25 points and four steals. Elliott is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Vaughn, who went 10 of 15 on his way to 23 points and five rebounds.

With the win, Iola broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6. As for Somerville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Iola wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-65 defeat against Centerville on the 27th. As for Somerville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-38 loss against Lago Vista on the 27th.
