Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Brownfield walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Presidio Blue Devils on Friday. Considering the Cubs have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brownfield is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Presidio, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Brownfield will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blue Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
