Antelope and San Pasqual Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Antelope Rams will get right back to it and host the San Pasqual Valley Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Antelope knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine games -- so hopefully San Pasqual Valley likes a good challenge.
Antelope put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 72-27 win over Bagdad at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Antelope has posted since December 7, 2023.
Caleb Martinez was his usual excellent self, scoring 37 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alizay Figueroa, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, San Pasqual Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They lost to San Luis at home by a decisive 62-44 margin.
Antelope has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for San Pasqual Valley, they bumped their record down to 1-13 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Antelope strolled past San Pasqual Valley in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 76-62. Will Antelope repeat their success, or does San Pasqual Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
