Thompson faced Kindred/Richland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Tommies were the clear victors by a 15-9 margin over the Colts. The result was nothing new for the Tommies, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Thompson's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Kindred/Richland, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thompson will welcome Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.91 runs per game on average), something the Tommies will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Kindred/Richland, they will be playing at home against Central Cass at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Squirrels will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Colts surely won't give up without a fight.
