After a string of five wins, Lely's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to the Seacrest Country Day Stingrays. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Stingrays apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Lely's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Seacrest Country Day, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Lely and East Lee County will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Seacrest Country Day, they will take on Seven Rivers Christian in a tournament on December 27th. Seven Rivers Christian has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-3 during that stretch of close contests.
