The Itasca Wampus Cats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 54-46 to Italy. Itasca has struggled against Italy recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Italy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Camdyn Owen, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Owen has scored all season. Hannah Scott was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Itasca has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season. As for Italy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.
Itasca will be playing in front of their home fans against Rio Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rio Vista is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Italy, they will head out on the road to square off against Valley Mills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Mills has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
