The Moulton Bobkatz won the last time they faced the Pettus Eagles, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Moulton came out on top against Pettus by a score of 45-36. The win made it back-to-back wins for Moulton.
Despite the loss, Pettus saw an underclassman step up: Hayleigh Cruz scored 20 points. Cruz scored a full 55.6% of Pettus' points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Moulton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Pettus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Moulton will play host again and welcome Runge, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Runge is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Pettus, they will head out on the road to face off against Austwell-Tivoli at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
