The Dunbar Crimson Tide scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Anacostia 77-48 at home. The win was familiar territory for Dunbar who now have five in a row.
Dunbar's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Russell, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. Russell hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Gregory Lomax, who scored six points along with seven steals and five assists.
Dunbar pushed their record up to 8-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Anacostia, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Dunbar will take on Fairmont Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Fairmont Heights' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Anacostia, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Cardozo at 7:00 p.m. Cardozo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
