It was a good run, but the Jefferson Blue Jays unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 52-38 bruising from Perryville. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jefferson in their matchups with Perryville: they've now lost four in a row.
Jefferson's loss came despite strong showings from Megan Wood and Peyton Guffey. Wood dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds, while Guffey scored seven points. Wood hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games.
Jefferson's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 11-5. As for Perryville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Jefferson will head out on the road to face off against Windsor at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Windsor is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Perryville, they will be playing at home against Bismarck at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bismarck focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 last Thursday.
