The Murray Spartans are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Granger Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Hopefully Murray focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
Last Friday, Murray had just enough and edged Provo out 54-51.
Murray's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mia Auclaire, who scored 21 points. The matchup was Auclaire's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lexi Davies, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Granger's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Alta, falling 61-14. Granger was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-2.
Murray's victory bumped their season record to 2-2 while Provo's loss dropped theirs to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Murray against Granger in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 55-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Murray since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
