Deltona is a perfect 3-0 against Seminole since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wolves will welcome the Seminoles at 5:30 p.m. Deltona is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Deltona is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lake Howell just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 4-0 to the Silverhawks. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.
Tessa Guenette was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits.

On the hitting side, Amayah Jones made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Seminole was able to grind out a solid win over Oviedo on Wednesday, taking the game 8-3. The victory continues a trend for the Seminoles in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.
Maggie Long made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madie Baker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February. Ava Hertz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Seminole kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Deltona's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Seminole, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
