The Lehigh Valley Academy Jaguars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by Lincoln Leadership Academy at home and fell 68-39. While losing is never fun, Lehigh Valley Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 578th, while the Lions are ranked 220th).
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Christopher Hunt, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Ziyon Wilkins, who scored ten points.
Isaac Sabater was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten steals for Lincoln Leadership Academy. Carlos Santana was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Lehigh Valley Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Lincoln Leadership Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lehigh Valley Academy will take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lehigh Christian Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Lincoln Leadership Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Pirates at 5:30 p.m.
