Volleyball Recap: Peotone Now 7-2 over Last Nine Games

Peotone won the last time they faced Reed-Custer and things went their way on Thursday too. The Blue Devils walked away with a 2-0 win over the Comets.

Peotone not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Reed-Custer between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18.

Several Comets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kamryn Wilkey, who had ten digs. Alyssa Wollenzien also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Peotone has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Reed-Custer, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peotone will host Grant Park at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Reed-Custer, they will take on Flanagan-Cornell at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
