The Bryan Station Defenders will head out on the road to square off against the Oldham County Colonels at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bryan Station's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Oldham County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Oldham County will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Bryan Station extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Defenders walked away with a 5-2 win over Montgomery County. Surprisingly, this marked the Defenders' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Karsyn Rockvoan was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than 12 strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and one double.
In other batting news, Tiahna Bowman was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Oldham County fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against North Oldham on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 9-8. The Colonels' loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
Like Bryan Station, Oldham County also got a great game from a two-way player: Jozie Lashley. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Lashley was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Aubrey Batts was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Devyn Collins was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Bryan Station's record now sits at 11-4. As for Oldham County, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-2.
