The Northwood Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Patrick Henry, falling 77-36. Northwood has not had much luck with Patrick Henry recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Patrick Henry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cole Caywood, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Caywood hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Caywood, who scored 18 points along with six assists and two steals.
Northwood bumped their record down to 5-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Patrick Henry, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwood will square off against Chilhowie at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Patrick Henry, they will head out on the road to square off against Council at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Council is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
