The Morgan Academy Senators were the 61-36 winner over the Fort Dale Academy Eagles when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Morgan Academy took a serious blow against Fort Dale Academy on Tuesday, falling 69-42. Morgan Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Morgan Academy saw an underclassman step up: CJ Christopher Williams scored 17 points along with six assists and three steals. Williams has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Barron Frazer was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Morgan Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Fort Dale Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Morgan Academy will be playing at home against Meadowview Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meadowview Christian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Fort Dale Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bessemer Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th.
