Mountain View is 9-1 against the Meteors since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. After both having extra time off, both teams will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 6:45 p.m. on February 5th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, Mountain View was beaten by the Crusaders 72-43. While losing is never fun, Mountain View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 596th, while the Crusaders are ranked 58th).
Meanwhile, Montrose's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 62-47 bruising from Lakeland. Montrose has not had much luck with the Chiefs recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Montrose, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
Mountain View was able to grind out a solid victory over the Meteors in their previous matchup back in January, winning 51-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mountain View since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
