The Manning Monarchs waltzed into Friday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. Everything went their way against Scott's Branch as Manning made off with a 68-44 win. That's another feather in the cap for Manning, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Tavion Carter, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 21 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Lovell Stevenson, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Manning pushed their record up to 3-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for Scott's Branch, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manning will stay at home for another game and welcome East Clarendon at 4:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Scott's Branch will take on Lake Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lake Marion focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 32 on Friday.
