The Dighton Hornets put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Otis-Bison 59-31 at home. Dighton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.
Leading Dighton to victory were Daniel Cramer and Carson Shimer. Cramer scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Shimer dropped a double-double on 22 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Shimer has scored at least a third of Dighton's points. Another player making a difference was George Von Leonrod, who scored four points along with two steals.
Dighton pushed their record up to 12-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Otis-Bison, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dighton will play host again and welcome Greeley County, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greeley County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Dighton is ranked 47th). As for Otis-Bison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sylvan-Lucas on Friday.
