Marshall is 8-2 against Rosemead since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Marshall suffered their biggest defeat since November 28, 2023 on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 71-28 loss at the hands of Gabrielino. Marshall has struggled against Gabrielino recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Rosemead pushed their score all the way to 62 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mountain View.
Despite the defeat, Rosemead saw an underclassman step up: Rhys Anderson scored 26 points. That was a full 41.9% of Rosemead's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Nguyen, who scored 14 points.
Marshall bumped their record down to 3-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Rosemead, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
