With a playoff win on the line, Chewelah rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Asotin Panthers 15-3. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 contests by six runs or more this season.

Nolan Jeanneret and Luke McGuire did most of the damage at the plate: Jeanneret got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while McGuire went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits McGuire has posted since back in April. Josiah Whittekiend was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Chewelah's win bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Asotin, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 22-8.

As of now, neither Chewelah nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
