Triad Math and Science Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Leadership Academy, who comes in off a win.
In what's become a running theme this season, Leadership Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Bethany, posting a 75-39 win on the road. The victory was just what Leadership Academy needed coming off of a 83-48 loss in their prior game.
Will Martin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Foster, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Triad Math and Science Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 62-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cornerstone Charter.
Leadership Academy now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Triad Math and Science Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Leadership Academy against the Bengals when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 74-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Leadership Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
