Dante Carr Delivers Best Effort of Season
Minersville was led to victory by Dante Carr, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Carr rushed for 207 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
Carr and Minersville will head out to square off against Tri-Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Battlin' Miners got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Bulldogs, probably because Carr had a solid game then too: he rushed for 44 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 165 yards and a touchdown on only 15 passes.
