TEACH's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 71-34 defeat at the hands of Norfolk Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points TEACH has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why TEACH lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nikolas Neuhofer. Despite the final result, he scored eight points along with ten rebounds and nine blocks. Neuhofer is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Trey Mozingo, who scored nine points.
TEACH's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Norfolk Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
TEACH on the road again on Saturday and play against Spirit HomeSchool at 3:30 p.m. on January 13th. Spirit HomeSchool presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than TEACH in Virginia (Spirit HomeSchool is ranked 177th, while TEACH is ranked 394th). As for Norfolk Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Peninsula Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
