Even though the Coral Reef Barracudas scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, the Booker T. Washington Tornadoes still came out on top. Booker T. Washington took their game against the Barracudas 66-58. For Booker T. Washington, this counts as revenge for the 76-60 defeat the Barracudas walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2021.
Jahmal David was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points. Leroy Lee Jr was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Several Barracudas players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathaniel Wesley, who scored 25 points. Another player making a difference was Ashton Williams, who scored 16 points.
Booker T. Washington's victory bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Coral Reef, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Booker T. Washington and the Gators will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Goleman is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Coral Reef, they will play host again and welcome the Conchs, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Key West focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
