Bridgeton and the Chiefs played the most hotly contested game in Cape-Atlantic - National this week, with Bridgeton eventually emerging with a 14-8 victory. Taylor in the win.
Calvin Cass of the St. Augustine Prep is only 95 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 89 carries Cass has accumulated 905 yard this year.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when the Hermits and Bridgeton face off next week. Alex Hughes has thrown for 475 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Nazir Williams has plagued opposing QBs to the tune of 3.0 sacks.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when St. Augustine Prep takes on Dave Ellen's team. As it stands, Mark Reardon's team is in first, while the Bulldogs are in fourth.
Bridgeton made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,365 from 8,012. The improvement was the result of 14-8 victory over Buena last week.
