Baseball Recap: Pine Lake Prep Has No Trouble Against Mountain Island Charter

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln Charter, Pine Lake Prep was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Mountain Island Charter Raptors. The Pride haven't had any issues with the Raptors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Pine Lake Prep got a great performance from Jeter Bynum as he tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Pine Lake Prep let Kelton Osborne and Dylan Brandt run wild. Osborne fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-3, while Brandt went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Brandt has posted since back in April of 2024. EJ Lewis, Jr. also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Pine Lake Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain Island Charter only posted an OBP of .400.

Pine Lake Prep's record now sits at 10-4. As for Mountain Island Charter, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Pine Lake Prep will challenge Central Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mountain Island Charter, they will face off against Charlotte Latin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
