The May River Sharks will head out to take on the White Knoll Timberwolves at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (May River has three straight wins, White Knoll has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
May River's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Colleton County. The Sharks not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 13-3).

Micah Morgan made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Derek Blesie and Finn Boyles did most of the damage at the plate: Blesie went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Boyles went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Talon Putnam, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, White Knoll suffered their closest defeat since March 20th on Friday. They fell just short of Fox Creek by a score of 6-4.
White Knoll also got a good showing from Easton Stewart, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Stewart has become a key player for the Timberwolves: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one hit, but 7-11 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Isaiah Posey was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Tra Johnson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
May River's record now sits at 14-7. As for White Knoll, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
