The North Callaway Thunderbirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 79-47 loss at the hands of Russellville. North Callaway has struggled against Russellville recently, as their match on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Thunderbirds players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Pezold, who scored 18 points along with five steals. Erik Blair was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
North Callaway's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Russellville, their win bumped their record up to 5-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Callaway will take on Clopton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Russellville, they will be playing at home against Cole Camp at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
