The Cranston West Falcons will venture away from home to take on the East Providence Townies at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Cranston West is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Moses Brown, who was ranked 17th at the time (Cranston West was ranked sixth). The Falcons never let the Quakers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Quakers: they've now won eight in a row.

Mia Crudale made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Siena Nardelli was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Emma Regine also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Cranston West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moses Brown only posted an OBP of .200.
Meanwhile, East Providence got the win against North Kingstown on Saturday by a conclusive 13-3. The Townies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six runs or more this season.
Trinity Provencher and Ella Grimley did most of the damage at the plate: Provencher went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Grimley went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Boisseau, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
East Providence's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Cranston West, their record is now 7-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Cranston West hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like East Providence struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
