Pymatuning Valley has been on the road for six straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Mathews Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Pymatuning Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Pymatuning Valley stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past Maplewood 78-47 on the road. With Pymatuning Valley ahead 44-24 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Meanwhile, Mathews pushed their score all the way to 70 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 78-70 to Bristol. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (66), Mathews still had to take the loss.
Pymatuning Valley pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.6 points per game. As for Mathews, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Everything went Pymatuning Valley's way against Mathews in their previous meeting two weeks ago as Pymatuning Valley made off with a 81-57 win. Will Pymatuning Valley repeat their success, or does Mathews have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
