Leading by 28 points entering the fourth quarter didn't stop
University City (San Diego, Calif.) from scoring, as it added nine points in the final quarter on the way to a 37-0 victory over Crawford (San Diego, Calif.) on Saturday.
The Centurions were up 20-0 at the half after taking the lead on a
Kyle LeBlanc touchdown run in the first quarter.
University City expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. UC scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Jack Minnick.
The Centurions' standout player in the win was LeBlanc. The junior wide receiver ran for two touchdowns and caught one touchdown. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
University City had struggled this season, allowing 33.8 points per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 57-0 win for UC.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Centurions, which lost to La Jolla last week, 56-7.
Crawford (1-6) goes up against Point Loma in a non-conference game matchup next week, while University City (3-4) locks horns with Coronado in a Central game.
