Legacy Academy will face off against the Rise Academy Guardians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Legacy Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 17 games.
Legacy Academy managed to keep up with Norfolk Collegiate until halftime last Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Legacy Academy came up short against Norfolk Collegiate, falling 79-59. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game two weeks ago (58), Legacy Academy still had to take the loss.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Malik Douglas, who went 8-for-12 en route to 19 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Anderson Allen, who posted nine points.
Meanwhile, Rise Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to The Carmel School 107-103. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (77), the Guardians still had to take the loss.
Legacy Academy will have to contain Nathaniel Seaborn as he made an impact in Rise Academy's last game. He put up 42 points and eight boards. The dominant performance gave Seaborn a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Devonte Atkins, who scored 24 points in addition to seven assists and six boards.
Even though they lost, Rise Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 33 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Legacy Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Rise Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Legacy Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 65.1 points per game. However, it's not like Rise Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 73 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
