While McGuffey put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for East Allegheny. The Highlanders put the hurt on the Wild Cats with a sharp 11-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Makenna Crothers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Faith Ealy was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Nicole Klages also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
McGuffey kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
