The North Clayton Eagles lost against the Fayette County Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. North Clayton was beaten by Fayette County 74-33. North Clayton has not had much luck with Fayette County recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
North Clayton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was VICTORIA Johnson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted three or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brea Mosley, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
North Clayton dropped their record down to 15-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Fayette County, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.
North Clayton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fayette County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-53 win vs. Trinity Christian on the 10th.
