Hart County is 2-8 against Green County since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Hart County came out on top against Foundation Christian Academy on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Raiders were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Austin Martin and Cayman Martin made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Martin struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Cayman tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those six strikeouts gave Austin a new career-high. At the plate, Martin went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Cayman went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.
In other batting news, Hart County let Gage Owens and Bryson Huff run wild. Owens went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Huff went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. Hart County is 6-1 when Huff posts two or more runs, but 3-14 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Colton Collins, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matchups, Green County finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against Larue County, falling 9-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.
Green County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reece Mitchell, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Green County's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 13-6. As for Hart County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-15.
