Volleyball Recap: Eastern Takes a Loss

If Eastern was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Western on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comets lost 3-0 to the Rossville Hornets on Thursday. The Comets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Eastern had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 25-22.

Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Rossville, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Eastern and Rossville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Comets will take on Delphi Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (82 vs. 267). Meanwhile, Rossville (ranked 36th) will meet Western (ranked 142nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
