The Mahopac Indians's game on Thursday was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They received a tough blow as they fell 54-36 to Ossining. Mahopac was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ossining apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Saniya Bell had a dynamite game for Ossining, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Claire Schnecker, who scored 7 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
Mahopac's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Ossining, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Mahopac will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Arlington at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Ossining, they will face off against Hendrick Hudson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
