Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Eminence Eels walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Cougars on Saturday as they made off with a 52-26 victory. Eminence has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.
Eminence was led to victory by Danica Myers and Sophia Saucerman. Myers scored 12 points along with five assists and five steals, while Saucerman scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Natalie Hubbard was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Eminence has been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 19 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.
Eminence and Jac-Cen-Del will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Eminence will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Jac-Cen-Del surely won't give up without a fight. Greenwood Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
