The West Aurora Blackhawks's five-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They came out on top against Oswego by a score of 44-32. That's another feather in the cap for West Aurora, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
West Aurora had a senior duo take command as Niaelle Evans scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and Harmony Rush scored 7 points along with 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn Johnson, who scored 8 points.
West Aurora's victory bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Oswego, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-7.
West Aurora will challenge Oswego East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oswego East has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three matches. As for Oswego, they will be playing at home against Streamwood at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Streamwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Friday.
